PLN 53 million of TIM SA turnover in July 2017. A better and better situation in the construction industry
The TIM SA’s revenues from sales in July 2017 amounted to PLN 53.93 million, i.e. 4.7% more than in the corresponding period of 2016, as follows from preliminary estimates. After seven months of this year, TIM’s turnover reached PLN 352.62 million – 3.6% more than in the preceding year. The construction and assembly production in Poland, which in July 2017 was as much as 19.8% higher than in the previous year, gives us a reason to be optimistic.
The revenues from the e-commerce channel in July 2017 increased by 6.3% compared to July 2016 and amounted to PLN 38.49 million. The online channel brought TIM over a quarter of a million PLN (PLN 252.94 million) in seven months this year – 4.8% more than in the period from January to July 2016.
It follows from the preliminary data published on August 18, 2017 by the Central Statistics Office that the construction and assembly production (in constant prices), including investment-related and repair works, completed in the country by construction companies hiring more than 9 workers in July 2017 was 19.8% higher than the previous year (in relation to the 18.8% decrease in July last year) and 3.7% higher compared to June this year. Without the impact of seasonal factors, the construction and assembly production was about 18.0% higher than in July last year and 4.3% higher compared to June this year. In the period from January to July 2017, the construction and assembly production was 10.6% higher than the year before.
“The hybrid operational model implemented by TIM SA in 2013 made us independent from the condition of the construction industry and allowed us to grow even during the downturn of this sector. That does not mean, however, that the improved situation in construction will have no effect on the increase in sales of TIM SA. The July growth rate in construction and assembly production was the highest since the beginning of 2012 when the works related to the European Football were in their final phase. The electrotechnical industry always reacts with a certain delay in relation to the whole construction sector, which is why I expect that the following months will bring us higher dynamics of turnover,” comments Krzysztof Folta, the President of the Management Board of TIM SA.
